Here are some fun pictures of Emie's Birthday party. We had about 30 kids with 20 adult so it was packed but SO much fun. Emie loved every minute! She is so lucky so have so many great friends that came. Thanks to everyone for making her day special! You might notice a little boy thats in almost every picture with her, that's Will and she says he is her "boyfriend". If I ask her what a boyfriend is she answers, its a boy that is my friend. :)

Look who had another Birthday. Her day started out with her Dad painting her fingernails. ( and they looked pretty professional.) Then she went to preschool where they sang to her and she got to bring a special treat to share. ( pink cookies.) And then we met some family and Jungle Jim and rode some rides and to top it all off she had a sleep over with Abby and Katie. ( her cousins) She had a fantastic day. Oh and its not over, she is having a friend party on Wednesday at Bouncing off the Walls. Its going to be me vs. 25 little ones. I'll let you know how that ones goes. :)

Christmas 2011

Santa most definitely found us this year! The girls were thrilled with their presants! Emie got a light sprite, princess shoes, and a dancing baby. Bayla got a tea set, a baby alive and a pillow and blanket. Plus they got a coloring table and easel to share. We did have a few curve balls thrown at us this Holiday including, Lance's grandpa ( visting from Seattle ) had to be taking to the hospital Christmas Eve and didn't get to come home until late Christmas afternoon, Bayla puking all over her room Christmas afternoon, and Emie getting pneumonia. BUT, we managed to pull through and now that I'm blogging I am realizing I didn't get very many picture but due to the chaos I think I'm forgiven. :)

I knew this would happen before I even got there and yet I still go and put Bayla through this traumatic experience. I don't think I have ever got a picture without one of my kids crying. Even though they cry, I just have to get the picture because years from now we can look back and laugh. They have been pretty good this year (with the exception of some hair pulling and a sassy attitude). Emie asked Santa for some princess shoes, a pink rose, and a pink marker. I hope these easy request last a few more years. :) Bayla asked for..... well she didn't do much talking because she was screaming but Emie filled Santa in on what she has been asking for, treats.

Bayla Boo is Two!

Balya had a fun Dora Birthday party on Wednesday. She got lots of Dora things like a Dora kitchen, Dora shirt, Dora jammie's, Dora backpack, she also got a baby carrier and a balance bike. I don't know how Santa is going to top that!

She is a funny little girl full of personality. Here are some fun facts about her:
She sings her ABC's all day long.
She is always toting around a baby doll.
Her favorite color is purple which is ironic since that's what Emie named her when she was in my belly. ( purple baby )
She thinks she is hilarious when she make funny faces at us. (and it is pretty funny)
She can do a pretty mean somersault.
She LOVES her sister!
She likes to play on the IPAD and is pretty dang good at navigating to all her games.
She like to drink water and milk.
She is a good eater. Most days.
If she goes to time out its almost always for pulling Emie's hair.
She is a sweet thing, we sure to love her. :)

Christmas Cookies

It always seems like a good idea until I actually make the cookies.... its just so messy! Not to mention we started this whole process at 10:00am and its its now 5:00pm and I just finished cleaning up. Whew! BUT, the kids had fun that's what really counts, right? Santa might have to be OK with stale cookies this year because Christmas is still a few weeks away and there is no way I'm making a new batch. I think he'll live. :)

This year I hosted Thanksgiving at my house... whew, its a big job. I did have help though. :) My girls were on their best behavor so I could get my cooking on. When all said and done I think it went well and would be happy to do it next year! (if only my house was a tich bigger so I could fit more friends and family).

Bayla was Raggedy Ann, this costume was actually mine when I was her age. Emie refused to wear it when she was little, I'm glad I have one who could pass the tradition on. During the trick or treating someone asked me if she was the Wendys girl..... I guess Raggedy Ann is a thing from the past. :)

Emie was Rapunzel from Tangled along with every other 4 year old girl on the planet. This costume, especially the hair was a beast to find. But we pulled it off and she loved it!

The little Mermaid

My mom and I took Emie and went down to St. George for a long weekend. We went to see The Little Mermaid that was playing at the Tuacan theater. This was no po-dunk play, this play was so entertaining and well done! We all loved it! Ariel is Emie's favorite person/mermaid ever! She was so excited to be there. Thanks TT for taking us.

California Trip

I can't believe this trip as come and gone, we have been planning this trip for almost a year. It really was a fun trip. It a very kids friendly trip and we by the time we did the beach, Disneyland, Sea World, and Lego land we were exhausted to say the least!
Lego Land is the first collage, it was our least favorite but then again we have girls who's life's revolve around pink sparkly princesses.
Sea World is next which was Lance's favorite. They had animals, shows, and rides. A fun day!
Next collage is the pictures of the beach. It was CHILLY. We were bone cold after an afternoon at the beach. Emie was a good sport and still played in the water, Bayla... not so much. Even though we didn't have the sunny California weather we did still have fun and make lots of memories at the beach.
Next is Disneyland land, this was the best day for me and the girls. To see them so happy made me happy. The highlight of the day was the princess lunch which I would highly recommend to anyone going with young girls. Yes is was pricey but so worth it. The princesses would come sit at your table and chat with the girls for a bit. I don't think Emie ate a single bite of her food because she was so excited. She always had things she wanted to say or ask each princess but as soon as they got to our table she just froze and could barley get a "HI" out. She was lets say, star struck. :) The parade was Bayla's favorite, it held her attention the entire time and she smiled, laughed, waved and danced even though it was WAY past her bed time.
We had a great family trip and made memories we will always remember.

First Day of Pre-School

Here she is looking all grown up. She started pre school and goes Monday - Thursday. Yikes! I strategically planned this year for her to go in the afternoon that way I drop Emie off and then put Bayla down for her nap and I have some ME time every afternoon. Now that sounds nice! She loves school, I asked her what she learned on the first day of school and she said she learned about how people get bad breath..... I don't really know what that's about but hey and least she is learning something. :) She is also very picky about her outfit and how she wants me to do her hair for school. Today I did her hair and she cried for 30 min saying her hair looked " gross" and "disgusting" and that nobody would think she looked cute.... *sigh* oh the joys of having a girl!

Aphids
Our garden has been sucking it this year - BIG TIME! We couldn't figure out why. Until we went our one night and saw aphids all over all our plants.... They covered every leaf! They are the tiniest little monsters! So we went and bought 1,500 lady bugs who supposedly eat aphids. Lance got this great shot the other night of the ladybug eating a aphids. Who would of thought lady bugs could save our garden but they did! Now our garden is growing and thriving. Thanks little Lady Bugs!

We are a little behind in our planting this year due to the weird cold weather. We finally got everything in and now just waiting for some nice hot weather to help our plants grow.

I always like to get an early picture like this so later I can look back and see all the progress. My girls have been hard at work helping us plant. Nothing beats free labor! :)

Our chicken coop is in the background, I haven't talked about them in a while. All 7 of them are still alive and doing well. We are getting 5 to 6 eggs a day ( a lot ). We don't let them out of their coop right now because they will eat all that hard work we just planted. Sorry chickies!

Pigeons

Emie had her very first dance recital. She danced as a pigeon with the bird lady in Mary Poppins. If anyone has little girls looking for a dance place we have found the BEST one! (in my opinion). They only have one dance performance a year which in nice for me because I don't really want to be going to these things every weekend if you know what I mean. But since they only do one they go ALL out! They do it a Kingbury Hall and the costumes are to die for CUTE! The whole experience was fabulous. Emie loved it so much she is already wanting to know what she will play next year. I was a very proud mommy seeing my little 4 year old up on the big stage dancing away. She did great!

Bayla 18 months

Baya is 18 months. Wow, that seems too weird. She was in the 87% for her height and 30% for weight. Its so strange to me to have such a tall baby, lucky girl gets Lance's genes in that area. Emie and Bayla both got shots so you can imagine the screaming coming from my room. We even had sympathy crying from both of them when the other one was getting her shots. Here are a few things Baylas been up to.

She sings in a opera voice.

She laughs at everything Emie does

Her laugh sounds like a witches crackle.

She says a few words like Dada, Binky, Uh-oh, Why, Up, Apple, Iwannagetdown.

She's really good at repeating anything you tell her to say.

She is FINALLY getting some hair.

She has all her teeth including her molars.

She is silly.

She sleeps from 7:30-7:30.

She hates eggs but loves every other kind of food.

She plays with her baby doll the most.

She pulls clumps of Emies hair out daily.

She looks like Lance ( from what I've been told)

She can give a pretty mean stink eye.

Always has one shoe on and one shoe off.... ALWAYS. Proof in my family picture at the top of my blog. :)

That's all I can think of at the moment although there are probably 50 more cute things to say about her that I'll remember through out the day. I Love her!

Jenna came to visit

My little sister and nephew Drake came to visit us all the way from Milwaukee. We didn't have a lot of "quiet" time while she was here. We were busy doing things like Lagoon, taking the kids fishing, girl pedicure nights, adult dinners ( with no kids :) family BBQ's and lots of playing. Emie's favorite part was dressing drake up and acting like he was her prince! Too cute..... and way to go Drake for going with the flow! I always love when she is here, she is my BFF!

Last Day of preshcool

We are rewinding a couple of weeks to the last day of preschool for Emie.

Pneumonia

This is one miserable little girl. She got a cold 10 days but wasn't really getting better and then after her soccer game on Saturday she started with the high fevers. Yesterday she was 104 and today 105. We took her to the doctors and they sent her straight to Primary Children's Hospital they diagnosed her with an ear infection and Pneumonia. This picture is taken right after they started her IV which she was not too happy about. I have never seen her this sick and it truly breaks my heart. I would take her place in a second if I could. Get well soon Emie I miss my bubbly little girl. XOXO

The Badlands and Mt. Rushmore.

It took us 3 days ( 22 hours ) to get home and in that time we stopped at Mt. Rushmore and the Badlands. The Badlands took about an hour to drive through and its basically a bunch of rock formations. It was cool but I think just going to Moab is even cooler. We're spoiled living in Utah, we have pretty things to look at all the time. We realized we take for granted.
Then we spent 3 hours at Mt. Rushmore, I have to admit I thought it might be lame but it truly is AWESOME to see. They said George Washington's nose alone is 20 feet long.
We finally made it home safe and sound and this is what the back seat looked like.... Yikes! I guess that what we get when we have 2 kids strapped in car seats for that long. We had so much fun exploring the Midwest. We hope to do it again....... but maybe fly next time. :)

Milwaukee Wisconsin

Next stop, we drove 6 hours up to visit Jenna and her family in Milwaukee Wisconsin. We went to Lake Michigan which is so big you could mistake it for the ocean. We also did the zoo and children's museum and we were lucky enough to go to a Brewers game which was a really cool experience except we parked so far away we had to walk 5 miles in 70 mph winds with all the kids crying. Good times :) And last but not least we went to Discovery World which was awesome! We of course tried some of Milwaukee famous brats, cheese and some yummy custard. Jenna made our visit nice and relaxing because she cooked for us almost every night! She is a great hostess! XOXO

St. Louis

Get ready for the run down of our 3 week long trip. First up, Lance and Emie drove to visit Luke and Carrie ( and their kids ). Lance helped Luke with some remodeling while Emie hung out with her cousins who she adores. Bayla and I flew out a week later to meet them. We were busy every second of every day taking in the sights. We saw everything from the Arch to the Mississippi River to the Botanical Gardens ( my fav ) and Grants Farm ( owned by Budweiser ). This was our first time to the Midwest and other then the lack of mountains we really liked it. We had perfect weather the entire time and even came home with a little tan line. :) There was 10 people crammed in Luke's house and since he was in middle of remodeling we all shared one bathroom. We were very cozy! Thanks Luke and Carrie for letting us stay with you. It was AWESOME!

Soccer

Emie has been asking me to play soccer since last year. She has shown a real interest in playing so I went ahead and signed her up even though I know nothing about the sport AT ALL! She is so excited to play but bad planning on my part our huge 3 week road trip crossed the country fell right in the middle of the soccer season. So she gets to play the first game and the last game. Sad, I know! I'm going to be signing her up for fall soccer so if anyone has little ones that want to play let me know and we could put a team together.

That silly Easter Bunny hid 115 eggs this year! WOW that's a lot of egg hunting we had to do. He must have remember last year when he only hid a few and Emie saying "Well, that was sure easy." After we found all the eggs and Easter baskets we got ready and went to Willowcreek for an Easter brunch. Emie rode a pony around 5 times and Bayla wouldn't even look at it. We ended the day with a nice dinner and then watched Tangled.

I'm just going to take a second to brag about my creative husbands handy work. He taught himself to make concrete counter tops and let me tell you they turn out SO awesome! I am so lucky to have a talented husband to help make my house look good. I knew the second we bought this house the counter tops needed to go..... they were navy blue and pink! PUKE!

The blue glass was brought back from a beach in Mexico and the brown glass in the top picture was from some beer bottles Lance crushed up and put into the concrete mixture. I love the colors they add so much to our bathrooms.

So, I haven't kept on on my blog lately but I have a reason.... There is absolutely nothing cool/exciting to blog about. My kids are bored, I am bored, we are just plain boring lately. My kids have been under the weather for 2 weeks so I have been housebound and beginning to think I might go insane if my kids don't start to feel better soon. Here is what we have been doing in all of our boredom. The first picture Emie with her feather extensions in. We have tried every color in her hair, she loves them and has been an excellent model.
My kids rooms have been organize and then reorganized again just for the fun of it. ( remember the boredom.)

Seriously I think I might have a little diva on my hands! When I went in her room to check on her before I went to sleep this is how I found her. I didn't even know she knew what that sleep mask was for. Apparently she did.
And then the very next night she was sleeping like this. Her head is resting on her bed side table. OUCH!

Hopefully next month I will have something more interesting to blog about!

I forgot how much fun sledding is. Its been years since I've been because the last few winters I've either been pregnant or just barely had a baby. Lance, Jenna, Chris and I took Drake and Emie and had so much fun even though we almost chickened out due to the chilly weather. It wasn't that cold once you were moving around. ( plus pulling the kids up and down the hill 20 times helped ) I love the kids faces when they are going down the hill, pure excitement with a little bit of nervousness..... priceless!

I had a rough night with Bayla last night, she was up for some odd reason crying for a couple hours. I was in and out of bed at least 6 times and Lance of course was all curled up sleeping through it all! Finally at about 4:00 in the morning I get her settled down and climb in bed and Lance mumbles, "You defiantly deserve a gold star".! Ha Ha, I don't even thinks he remembers saying this but it sure made me smile!

Happy Birthday to the most beautiful princess I know! We had a princess themed birthday, everything was very pink and very sparkly! She absolutly loved everything about it! I made her this cake and when I was done Lance said, "I think you made this cake is too fancy and frilly." Are ya kidding me..... you can't do too fancy or frilly for Emie. She is the true definition of a girly-girl.

She has wanted these princess barbies for months now. She kept saying she would save up and buy them for herself..... but TT and Papa ( my parents ) were the hero's of the night!
She had a friend party with a few little girls. They all came in their princess attire. It was so cute and fun to see them all together. My house is now covered in sparkles but hey at least they had fun. :) Bayla was Snow White and Emie was Ariel. ( Her favorite princess of all time)

Christmas 2010

Christmas was so much fun this year. My sister came to Salt Lake and stayed for 3 whole weeks! We loved it. I have so many pictures over the last few weeks that I don't even know where to start. All three of these little munchkins have Christmas Birthday's so as you can imagine its been a busy, busy 3 weeks and we still have one to go! I feel like we are on toy overload, but my kids are in toy heaven!
Christmas Day at Scott and Nora's ( the only reason Bayla is laughing her head off is because what you don't see in the picture is Lara jumping around acting like a monkey! HA!)
LOOK what we got!!! So excited! Now the only problem is who gets it me or Lance.... hummm.
Emie playing dress up in her new Ariel wedding dress.
Bayla didn't really know what was going on but she didn't care she loved all the toys-wrapping paper-boxes-bows!
This was her favorite item! She's been asking for this for a very long time. I'm glad it made her so happy.
In between all the craziness of Christmas we did squeeze in a few extra fun things:
Gingerbread house making,
Emie had a preschool Christmas program,
Balya's 1st Birthday and Drakes 2nd Birthday,
Holiday family/work parties,
Sledding,
Nice ( adult only dinner at The Dodo ), :)
Movie nights,
Many late night card games.

Bayla turns ONE

Yes, its true. She is one..... ALREADY! We had a small party and she got some fun things including a new high chair since our old one was so gross no matter how hard I tried to clean it out. She loved all her new toys except what Lance and I gave her which scared the poop out of her. It was a little cat the walked when you touched the back.
She is 19 pounds 30th %
I can't remember how tall but I do know that she is 90% ( I guess she has the Linscott genes ) :)
She has major stranger danger so I will apologize to everyone in advance if you try to hold her and she cries.
She is LOUD!
She has a favorite blanket and loves her binky.
She is walking but prefers to get around by bouncing on her knees from place to place.
Eats anything and everything as long as its not eggs.... too bad since we have more than we know what to do with.
Says: Hiiiiiiiiiiii, Wow, Whoa, Dada.
If you ask her what Santa says she says: huh, huh, huh
We call her Bayla Boo.
She has 4 teeth with the 5th one on the way.

First steps!

Here is Emie singing a little song called "Bayla, Bayla". Its really supposed to be Bila, Bila which is Spanish for dance. (I think) The biggest news right now is Bayla is taking her first steps. She can go about 5 or 6 steps before she sits down to crawl. She is very proud of her self and claps every time she walks. We are proud of her too. :)

Lance and his BFF Kelly went for an all day fishing trip on Halloween. They came back full of smiles so I'm guessing they had a good time and caught some "big fish"! The first thing Lance did when he walked in the door was email his brother Luke the pictures to do a showing off. :) Another funny thing about these fishermen is they have sworn me to secrecy to their where-a-bouts that day. He says its bad fisherman etiquette to tell the good spots. Huh, who knew?

We braved the rain last night and went out trick or treating. It was a wet one! Emie only wanted to go to the houses she knew for a fact didn't have a dog inside. She has some issues with animals. ( We're working on them). I was "THAT" mom that gave out play-dough instead of candy this year, and it actually really was a big hit! Thanks to everyone who came over last night and Happy Halloween everyone!

Jenna, Chris and Drake came to visit all the way from Wisconsin. They stayed with us which made for a very full house because my parents are also living with us while they build a new house. BUSY is the only word to describe my house during that week. I did no laundry, no cleaning and barely any cooking..... BUT we did play, play and play some more. It ROCKED! We hung out at home most the time since it was always someones nap time. We did make it to gateway to play in the water though. Emie hated it. No surprise there! Bayla and Drake loved it. Thanks for coming guys!!!! Can't wait until Christmas!

Lake Powell

We went to Lake Powell last week and was reminding how beautiful and fabulous it was. The weather was so perfect, you could literally water ski in the main channel. I've never seen it so calm. We went with Lance's mom, dad and sister. Lara brought a friend named Amelia which Emie thought was so funny because her real name is Amelia. Emie wanted us to call them Amelia 1 and Amelia 2. ( She was Amelia 2) We left Bayla at home with my mom and dad which was a really hard decision but diapers, formula, baby food, naps, and 3:00am feedings just didn't sound fun on a house boat. Emie did not, I repeat, did NOT like the water. That really shouldn't have surprised us since she is a very cautions child anyway. Even though she was the only kid she never complained about being board she was happy as a clam playing on the beach building sand castles, exploring for seashells and going for boat rides. They very last day we finally got her on the tube and she actually really liked it as long as we went slow so she didn't have to get wet. It was a really relaxing trip for Lance and I, thanks Scott and Nora!

Waving "hi" and "bye" ( that just started today and is oh-so-cute) and she also dances when she hears music. She is a happy happy baby. She loves her sister, blankets, binky and her toy car that plays music. I just want to squish and squeeze her all day long. I love her!

Here she is on her first day of preschool. She is growing up so fast. So far she is doing great in school. There are only 9 kids in her class and her teacher ( Miss Nattie ) is great! She already came home and told me she invited some friends to come over to play. She picked out her own backpack ( not really my style but whatever makes her excited for school works for me). Tomorrow is "Red" day where all the kids wear red and bring red things to put on a bulletin board. She only has 2 other girls in her class and the rest are boys, this has taken some getting used to for Emie who's world revolves around pink, frilly, shiny things.

She started dance lessons today and she loved it! She was so cute showing off her skipping with very pointed toes. :) Emie has a couple new things coming up, she starts preschool, dance and also soccer. I told her she should just pick one, either dance or soccer, since I didn't want to be running around town everyday. She thought about it for a while and then came to me with this answer. "Mom, I've got a perfect plan. I'll just not do preschool and that way I can do both dance and soccer!" HA! She's a smart cookie. And really I don't blame her. Well, we caved and decided we would let her do both. Here's to one busy fall!!!

Watch out she's a real mover and groover now! She started crawling on Friday Aug 13th. I wouldn't say she has mastered it yet but she can definitely get from point A to point B, which in return makes for one happy baby! She is also getting both her bottom teeth, double whammy! Aspen Lodge

We went to our cabin in Colorado for a big family get together. It was so much fun to see everyone. Emie loved playing with her cousins, she is now having Abby and Katie withdrawals. We had a Hawaiian luau one night and played all kinds of games for the kids including a no hands cookie eating contest, scavenger hunts, face painting, bouncy house, and much much more! It was busy to say the least. We also went to the North Pole. Its this cute little amusement park for young kids. We were there for 5 hours and still didn't get to do everything we wanted to do. One night Bayla didn't feel well so she was up from 11:00 to 3:00, I finally had to squish myself into the pack and play with her to get her to sleep but at that point I was desperate to try anything. Then at 3:30 Lance and I both heard and loud noise so we peaked out our window and saw a BEAR!!! No joke!! EEK! It was licking the tiki torches and BBQ. In hindsight I should have grabbed my camera but I was way to freaked out and on zero sleep at this point. Thanks Scott and Nora for the fabulous reunion. And thanks everyone else for coming and making such great memories.

Our garden is doing very well now that its warm outside. Due the the late freeze we lost all of our basil plants which was a total bummer! Our chickens have been cooped up in there coupe for about a month now because we were afraid they would eat our garden but now that everything is bigger we can let them out again. They are so happy to roam the backyard, the dig in the dirt and find bugs to eat. Some of there favorite treats are lettuce, berries, tuna fish and scrabbled eggs. ( Yes it creeped me out to feed them eggs ) They are about 19 weeks and they say they should start laying eggs around 20 weeks. SOooo hopefully my next chicken post will be about some eggs.

So I stumbled across a blog that talked about making your blog carbon neutral. Apparently visiting websites releases carbon dioxide into the air (about 0.02g per visit). Harvard University physicist Alexander Wissner-Gross, PhD conducted research on this and came to the conclusion that assuming an average blog gets 15,000 visits a month, it has yearly carbon dioxide emissions of 8lb. So a company in Germany, "Make it green" has set up a program called "My blog is carbon neutral". They will plant a tree for you if you write a short post on their program. So if you are interested in having your blog go green, there are just a few steps you have to take:

Write a blog post about the initiative + insert your favorite button

Yellowstone National Park

We packed up and drove to Yellowstone for a few days. It was a last minute trip but really fun.... especially if you like to get wet! It rained and rained and rained, and if your camping it made for some tricky meals and activities. We saw lots of animals, geysers, mud pots, and everything else to see there. We pretty much did it all! We saw Old Faithful twice since the first time it was raining so hard we could barely see it. I had so many pictures to post I thought I would try doing collages so it wasn't a 3 page post. You can click on the collage to make the pictures larger.

Here's the story, late the other night I was on the computer looking at a blog. Lance came over and asked who the person was on the blog and I said " I have no idea, I just look at her blog every night". Lance was mortified, he thought it was the weirdest thing he has ever heard of. Ok, Ok, its a little strange but I know you other girls out there has/do this to, you can stay anonymous if you want. Fun Facts about Bayla as of now:

She eats her baby oatmeal and loves it.
She almost always has her tongue sticking out.
She is picky about who feeds her a bottle and the temperature has to be just right.
She never lets Emie out of her sight.
She is always trying to sit up, she can't stand to be laying on her back.
She sleeps from 7 to 7 and gets up once to eat.
She has slept from 7 to 7 twice without eating at all! :)
She has rolled over twice.

She is a very happy and smiley baby, we are lucky.

The Latest and Greatest

We have been busy around here ( actually mostly Lance ). He has been building a shed/chicken coop the last month. Our chicks are ready to be moved outside to their new home. We let them out to roam our backyard but they quickly bee lined back to their coop. I think they need to adjust to the freedom of being outside.
This is inside the hen house. Their food is in the black tube and the water is in the white tube. We have six chicks now and yes we started off with 4 but one of the hens was actually a rooster so we had to take him back. When we took Sleeping Beauty back we of course came home with two more. So now we have Pixie, Rotisserie, Peanut Butter, Honey, Tinkerbell, and Mermaid.
This is where we collect the eggs. Their nests are in those two boxes. We haven't got any eggs yet but maybe next month. We should get a dozen eggs every other day, that's a lot of eggs. And we will get a variety from blue to brown to off white to dark chocolate eggs. If you want some let me know!
As you can see Lance was not loving the painting part of building the shed.
But... Emie had fun!
Next we planted some flowers in our front yard. I know, I know your not supposed to plant flower before Mothers Day but what can I say..... we're risk takers, I guess. :)
And finally the start of the veggie garden. This doesn't look like much but it will be. We have peas growing up the trellis and red, white and green onions in the dirt.

The reason this picture is funny is while I was busy taking cute pictures of Emie in front of this fountain our plane was taking off, yep that's right we missed our flight for the dumbest reason. Our plane was delayed 1 1/2 hours so we thought we would walk to the toy store on the other end of the airport but when we got back our plane was GONE! And they said the only other flight was FULL. They were going to make me sleep in the Detroit airport with my 3 year old and 3 months old with no luggage and no more formula. Um, can you say PANIC! They finally got us on a flight but not without many many tears.

We celebrated Jenna 25th Birthday.
And had a visit with the Easter Bunny.
Emie woke up with this nasty pink eye! It has since spread to her other eye then my eye then Baylas eye and now is in my other eye. It has also come with fever, body aches, cough, sore throat and plugged ears. We are full of cooties at my house. I would recommend your stay far far away until this plague passes.

Brazilian Blowdry

This is the new "IN" thing in LA right now. Its awesome! Here's what it is.

The Brazilian Blowout is different from other straighteners because it doesn't completely straighten the hair. The hair still has plenty of volume and body and can still be worn curly or wavy. The Brazilian just softens whatever curl or wave you have. If the hair is air dried without a blow dryer, it will still have wave or curl but no frizz. On the flip side, if you want to blow dry your hair straight, you can do that, without a brush, in a fraction of the amount of time it would have taken without the Brazilian. Also, with other methods, there is a line of demarcation, meaning that when new hair grows in, it is curly/ wavy while the rest of the hair is straight. This blowout method washes away with time and is diffused, so there is no noticeable difference between new hair and treated hair. Other methods also have harsh chemicals in them like formaldehyde. The Brazilian Blowout does NOT have formaldehyde in it. And none of the chemicals in it are carcinogenic.

It literally gives everyone "wash and wear" hair. It allows clients to have freedom to enjoy activities they may have in the past because they didn't want to get their hair wet and have to spend an hour redoing it. You're no longer a slave to your hair. You can do whatever you want--work out, swim--without having to think about not getting your hair wet, because you know you will be able to make it look great in 15 minutes with just a simple blow dry. The treatment simply washes away over time and your hair returns to its normal state, so if you don't like it, you don't have to worry about having to cut all your hair off to get rid of it. The Brazilian Blowout lasts for up to 5 months.

Call us crazy but we got chicks! They are about 1 week old and super cute. This was all Lance's idea. I have said it before and I'll say it again Lance really should have been a farmer. He loves his vegetable garden he put in last year and now we have moved on to chickens. He is building a chicken coop to keep them in once the are fully feathered. Then we can go out and gather their eggs every day.

This one is mine and I named her Pixie

This one is Emie's and she named her Sleeping Beauty. :) She won't hold them yet the best she will do is touch them with one finger. She says she likes them as long as they don't go in her room.

This one is Lance's ( Bayla gets to share with him ) he named her Rotisserie. Leave it to him to pick a name like this.

I overheard Emie and Bayla having a conversation today. Emie doing the talking and Bayla doing the listening. Emie said, " Bayla, don't pull on my mom and dads hair anymore because it will hurt them and they might dive (die). Then we will be here all by ourselves and that would be scary because I don't know how to do the dishes! So, don't pull hair OK."

I'm glad to know she appreciates me SO much! Hee Hee.

Here is a little update on my kids:
Emie weights 26 lb (7 %)

Her favorite color is purple and pink.
Her favorite animal is a muddy pig.
Her favorite song is the ABC's and any song that she just makes up on her own, you can alway count on her to be singing especially about her sister Bayla.
Her favorite movie is Tinkerbell.
She love, love, loves her sister, she is always an inch away from her face giving her kisses..... I have to remind her that Balya needs a little space sometimes. :)
Her favorite doll is her sleeping beauty doll ( although this could change and any moment).
She would wear makeup all over her face everyday if I let her.... I don't let her!
She favorite food is pasta or orange chicken from costco.
She is my little shadow.
She is an angel... most of the time. :)

Bayla is 8 weeks today!

She is starting to sleep longer at night... phew! She goes to bed at 7:00 and gets up in the morning between 7:00 and 8:00. She wakes up 2 times to eat. Hey that's better than 4.

She sleeps with a little dog blanket that Lara gave her for X mas, we have named it " Cozy".

AHHH, I wish I was doing this right now. Bayla is almost 6weeks and is doing great. I am trying to get her more on a schedule but right now her sleeping and eating is all over the place. Its driving me nuts! I know, I know I need to chill out she is only 6 weeks but I am a very scheduled person and like to plan out my days. Did you mothers out there do the eat/play/sleep routine or did you feed your babies right before you put them down?
I'm thinking I might have a blue eyed baby!

Emie turned 3 on January 4th. She wanted a Da da da da da Dora party! We surprised her with this Dora cake. She was so happy as you can tell by her smile.

Emie got lots of fun stuff like a new pink kitchen, games, cabbage patch kids and lots more. Now we just have to find room to put it all.

I just can't stop laughing right now and I will tell you why.
Emie had a bad dream last night so I sent Lance in her room since I get up with Bayla 4 times a night! I could hear him laughing in her room and I could hear Emie screaming " I want my baby back" I assumed she was talking about one of her dolls that maybe fell off the bed or something but when Lance came back to bed still chuckling he told me that she was talking about Bayla. She must have had a bad dream involving Bayla. So, this morning I asked her about it. I said "Did you have a bad dream about Bayla last night" She said " Yay she was gone because she got flushed down the toilet, I TOLD you to hold her hand when she went pee MOM!!!"
Oh man, she is hilarious!
